• Facility must meet local planning and zoning requirements and building codes

• Environmental health requirements

• Pass fire and sanitation inspections

• Lead testing of all water sources in use

• Have the appropriate amount of bathroom and water sources (separate sinks for hand washing, food prep and drinking water, and cleaning)

•  Meet the minimum square feet per child in both indoor and outdoor spaces

• Staffed with qualified teachers and support staff that have the proper credentials, background checks, and required trainings.

• Ensure that there are adequate furnishings in good repair that meet the needs of the space and ages of the children being served

• Create and maintain a record keeping system that ensures all licensing requirements are kept up-to-date
