Are you interested in a book study? Please take a moment to respond to a few questions about the possibility of an online book study for ELA. We are gathering basic information with the hopes of launching another book study or two throughout the school year.
The ELA Standards Toolkit has been updated to show the corrected version of the Writing Tenets! Please use this version when referencing the Writing Tenets on page 13 of the document or CLICK on the Writing Menu above.
Tip to Open: If you are struggling to open the links inside the document, try downloading the PDF document onto your device. You can also try this direct link : English Language Arts Standards Alignment Toolkit
The toolkit can be used to help your teams and districts with vertically alignment of the standards (page 9). In addition to analyzing standards by grade level, teachers and teams should also break down standards to best understand learning targets, learning progressions, w as well as potential vocabulary students need to understand for each particular standard. An example of a break down of standards is found on page 12 with Writing Standards 1-3: Text Types and Purposes.
Help spread the news! Make sure you and your colleagues are signed up to receive the updated ELA information, professional development opportunities, and guidance documents each month.
