This SEL implementation plan aligns closely with the BC Core Competencies, which are foundational to the BC curriculum and help students become thoughtful, self-aware, and engaged learners.
The Personal and Social competency, in particular, connects deeply with SEL practices. Through the CASEL framework and the lessons on this site, students will develop the skills needed to build positive relationships, regulate emotions, and make responsible decisions—skills that support lifelong learning and wellbeing.
