The Sammamish

The Issaquah High School Yearbook is called The Sammamish. Rooted in the history of the area, the original mascot was The Indians, named for the significant population of Native Americans in the Issaquah area. The local tribe, The Sammamish, spent their summers at Lake Tradition, and their winters on the shores of Lake Sammamish. The book was named in their honor as far back as 1915.
