Hevolution Network on Senescence in Aging 

We have assembled a multidisciplinary team, well-positioned to overcome some of the barriers that have prevented rational-based therapeutic targeting of senescent cells in aging and aging-related disorders. 

We combine complementary in-depth expertise in the biology of senescence, cell death, proteostasis, mitochondria, inflammation, metabolism and in the fundamentals of chemical targeting and drug development, as well as the capability of pushing the limits of available technologies to study these processes. 

Investigators in this network are drawn from six separate institutions located in both North America and Europe. They are all leaders in the areas central for the 3 projects:  biology of aging, senescence, cell death, proteostasis and drug design.
