18-2 (RAUGUST FARMS) IS LOCATED 4 MILES WEST OF DELIA, ALBERTA CANADA. APPROX 30MIN FROM HANNA OR DRUMHELLER & 90MIN FROM CALGARY.
The 18-2 Barn is the ORIGINAL (1942) barn that was purchased along with the Raugust Farm homestead back in 1957 (by Herb Raugust). The farm passed down to Darryl & Harriet Raugust and through the years to son and son-in-law. Raugust Farms Ltd is now owned & operated by Harriet Raugust, Jeff & Saralyn Stel, Benson, Brock and Baden and we farm in memory of Darryl Raugust (who passed away tragically November 2020).
The barn has served many purposes throughout the years and many hours have been invested into keeping the barn maintained and a building of purpose no matter if it held animals, seed for sale, a community fundraiser, or sleeping quarters for visitors to the farm.
THE 18-2 BARN IS ONE OF THE LAST ORIGINAL BUILDINGS STANDING ON RAUGUST FARMS TODAY!
The dream for the barn, once fully renovated, is that it would continue to be a multipurpose space: A PLACE OF IMPACT & MINISTRY LOCALLY, AS WELL AS AROUND THE WORLD. Over the years, stories have emerged & letters have been written to the family from strangers & friends about the impact of the barn and the farm. It truly has always been a place of great IMPACT even in it's very beginning stages & the goal is to GROW that impact with each step taken forward.
What we do at 18-2 is home grown and based on a firm foundation and life changing belief that God is our rock, our fortress and our strength. He is our rock in whom we find protection, our shield, the power that saves us, and our place of safety (Psalm 18:2). In other words, 18-2 is not just the land location of the barn, but the very foundation of who we are. Some of our programs are faith based, those that are not, are opportunities to serve and provide for the families in our communities. Our staff are committed to their faith and together we are a TEAM that desires to serve others and love them the way we were first loved. Our shared faith journey's keep us focused and ON MISSION TOGETHER while we provide opportunities for campers to learn more about persevering through life.
