Gentle Guidelines

A few notes to help us share the table smoothly

Eight Around is a home-hosted cultural dining experience built on trust, warmth, and shared respect. These gentle guidelines are simply to ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.

• Dietary preferences & special needs
  Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary preferences, allergies, or special requirements. While the menu follows a traditional format, early information helps us be mindful wherever possible.

• Limited seats & cancellations
  Each experience has very limited seating. In case of an emergency cancellation, we will try to find a replacement for your seat and encourage you to help us do the same.
  Cancellations made within 7 days of the experience date will attract a 50% cancellation charge if no replacement is found.

• The nature of the experience
  This is a shared, traditional thaal dining experience hosted in a family home. Guests are encouraged to come with an open mind and respect for cultural customs. To honour the cultural and home setting: Alcohol is not served. Guests are requested not to arrive under the influence of alcohol or substances

• Punctuality
  The experience follows a gentle flow. We request guests to arrive on time so no part of the journey is missed.

• Photography & privacy
  Photos are welcome, but please be mindful of other guests’ comfort and privacy. Do seek consent before photographing individuals.

• The home setting
  You are joining us in our family home. We request guests to treat the space, hosts and fellow diners with care and respect.
