The Royal Standard of Eichenland
The Kingdom of Eichenland is a constitutional monarchy, and has been led by Zechariah I since its independence on 10 December 2023 II.
The Monarch is advised by the Prime Minister, and is held accountable by Parliament, which may depose the Monarch if they have been acting unlawfully.
Unlike most modern monarchies like the United Kingdom, Spain, or Norway, where the monarch's role is ceremonial, Eichenland is an executive constitutional monarchy, similar to Liechtenstein and Monaco. Although the Monarch has some limits on their power, they still bear significant political authority.
The Monarch holds ample executive, legislative, and judicial powers. The Monarch is ultimately responsible for passing Acts of Parliament, and may legislate independently via Royal Proclamations. Additionally, the Monarch is the Justice of the High Court.
