Muhammad Ehtisham is currently serving as a PhD researcher at University of Camerino, Italy. Under a green project funded by Italian government and Co-funded by Idena Pharmaceuticals , Milan, Italy.

Majorly his research focuses on Organic synthesis through Photochemistry.

He has acknowledged his Master’s degree (MS 18 years education) in Organic chemistry from of faculty of basic Sciences, department of chemistry, University of WAH (accredited by HEC) Pakistan securing CGPA of 3.58/4.00 in 2019. His master’s research work was on “Synthesis of Bio-Active organic fragments via Domino pathways”. He has completed his research work in-collaboration with University of Sargodha (UOS), Pakistan. He recognizes a strong educational background and good research skills in organic synthesis. As in his master’s research work, he has synthesized novel derivatives of thioureas along with their new metal complexes, He have purified water from lead (waste water of leather tanneries) by chelating it with synthesized molecules.

Moreover, he holds a strong grip on spectra elucidation of various spectroscopic techniques like FTIR, UV, and NMR. He has also used X-ray Crystallography for the conformation of his synthesized moieties. During his research work he learn how to effectively organize, prioritize, and multitask to maximize efficiency and productivity.

Furthermore, He did his Bachelors in chemistry from the same institute (University of WAH) in 2017, In his final year project (FYP) he gone through a thorough literature survey which reveals that “The derivatives of Schiff’s base and metal complexes from 2/3/4-aminoantipyrine with several aldehydes found to be more biologically active, with a wide range of applications in clinical, analytical, industrial and catalytical roles”.

Along with the basic research he has participated and presented in different conferences & workshops purely based on chemistry. Including:

• 5th Multidisciplinary Student Research International Conference (MDSRIC-2019)-University of WAH, Pakistan

• 4th International Conference on recent trends in Chemistry(2018)-Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, Pakistan

He served Attock oil refinery (ARL) as a Trainee lab chemist. He has done an internship in Pakistan Oil Fields (POL) during his graduation.

Following all these experiences and academics his research interests lies in organic synthesis, drug discovery, supramolecular chemistry and green chemistry.
