The Science Olympiad Competition consists of twenty-three events, which change each year on a rotation. Each event is focused in one of five aspects of science: Life, Personal, and Social Science; Earth and Space Science; Physical Science and Chemistry; Technology and Engineering; or Inquiry and Nature of Science. Each event usually involves teams of two people working together. Some events are testing events, in which each team tests its knowledge on a specific subject, while other events are hands-on experimentation (such as Chem Lab, and most engineering events). If it is your first time doing SciOly, it is recommended that you choose no more than three events. If you would like to compete in more than three events please contact one of us. Scroll through the 2021-2022 events below or read the flyer about the event descriptions! Or click on the button to check out the Rules Manual, which includes detailed info on each event.
