Welcome 9th Graders!

We know that it can be overwhelming to begin high school, 

so we'd like to make the addition of volleyball a little easier for you and your family.

Here are some things you can expect for your 9th Grade Season of EVB.

FIRST WEEK SCHEDULE

Please reference the Important Dates page for details, but here is a quick overview.

Also, note the new Scrimmages + Tournaments page. 

Friday, August 15th - Uniform distribution, team pictures, 1st practice. PARENT MEETING!

Monday, August 18th - Practice + Scrimmage w/ Visitation @ EHS. 

Wednesday, August 20th - Fundraising Blitz! Required for all athletes. 

Thursday, August 21st - Practice time change (10-12). Get Connected Day at EHS

Saturday, August 23rd - Breakdown Side Out Classic 

Monday, August 25th - 1st Day of School! Practice after school

Tuesday, August 26th - 1st Matches against Buffalo at home. Go Hornets!

PRACTICES

• Drop-off volleyball backpacks in the locker room before school.

• Freshman teams practice in the upper gym. Your coaches will give you details.  

• Unity groups meet on Wednesdays during practice. Unity groups have people from each team (Varsity, JV, B-Squad, 9A/9B), and you will talk about important events and make connections throughout the program!

• Strength training will be incorporated into practices. More information to come. 

GAME DAY

• Away game times will vary by opponent. The dismissal time and bus departure time is posted on the Bus Schedule page of our website. The athletic office takes care of submitting the absence request if you leave before the school day ends.  

• Home game matches will always be at 4:15 for 9A/9B. Check the Calendar page for details.  

• During home games you will be asked to line judge and score for other EVB matches. 

• Stay for the Varsity match to support EVB and cheer!

• Game-Day food can be ordered from Jersey Mike's. It will be delivered to EHS before buses depart or before games begin at home. Information on ordering can be found under Parent Information on the website.
