Transition from Middle School to High School
The EHS schedule involves Periods 4/5, 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9, and 9/10. Depending on what period you have lunch, you will have classes during these two combined periods. For instance, if you have lunch Period 4, you will have classes during Periods 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10. If you have lunch Period 8, you will have classes during Periods 4/5, 6/7, and 9/10.
At EHS you are required to take one VPA (Visual Performing Arts) and one 21st Century Life Skills elective, along with Financial Literacy. The Financial Literacy elective can be taken over the summer—ask your guidance counselor for more information about this option.
At EHS, you carry your backpack with you to each class. Students often use their lockers to store athletic or school club-related items, rather than day-to-day supplies.
In high school, you are permitted to wear earbuds in the hallways so long as you remain respectful of your surroundings. Teachers' rules regarding phones in their classes can change from class to class. Be respectful of that and use them appropriately.
