The mission of the East Hamilton Counseling Program is to promote student achievement and social well-being by fostering collaboration among school personnel, students and families, and communities to maximize student success. The Comprehensive Developmental Counseling program utilizes a variety of strategies to initiate and support direct services to students at all educational levels to encourage growth in the following three domains: Personal/Social; Academic; and College/Career.
***Throughout the counselors' work with students in each of the three domains, confidentiality is very important. Counselors at EHS keep information confidential unless disclosure is required to prevent clear and imminent danger to the student or others or when legal requirements demand that confidential information be revealed. Counselors will consult with appropriate professionals when in doubt as to the validity of theses exceptions.
