Events & Programs

The English Graduate Student Association plans and is host to a number of events during both the Autumn and Spring semesters. Additionally, EGSA partners with other student groups and creating programs that benefit both graduates and undergraduates involved in any manner with the University of Toledo's English department.

Tea and Talks

Support group and stress reliever for graduate students

Juggling schoolwork, teaching, extra curricular activities, and life in general can all be overwhelming. Luckily, EGSA provides a healthy and supportive environment to express yourself. Tea and Talks is a reoccurring support group housed in the graduate student lounge for English MA students to vent, get tips and advice from the cohort, play video and board games, and think of possible ways to seek administration assistance. Come enjoy some tea, coffee, and community to help get through graduate school. Below are the currently scheduled times for meetings:

  • September 19, 7PM
  • October 3, 7PM

Movie Nights

In collaboration with the English honors fraternity, Sigma Tau Delta

For the Autumn 2018 semester, we will be hosting two (2) movie nights in the Memorial Field House Room 2100 open to all undergraduate and graduate students. Bring a friend, comfy clothes, and enjoy!

  • The Shining - October 24, 7PM
  • It's a Wonderful Life - December 5, 7PM
