The pictures above show the the fifth grade Art Prize competition entries from 2016. We discussed the Grand Rapids Art Prize and what a unique and special event it is in our own community. This year's fifth grade students will also be offered the opportunity to compete in their own Art Prize competition.

Calling all 5th Grade Artists:

Here is how to participate in 5th Grade ART PRIZE!

Rules:

· Projects must be smaller than a poster board (22”x28”)

· Both 2-D artwork (drawing/painting) and 3-D artwork (sculpture) is acceptable

· You may work by yourself or in groups of 2 or 3 fifth grade students (from any class – not just your own!)

· Students may enter 1 individual and/or 1 group art piece into the competition

· All artwork must be created by fifth grade students, but parents may assist if necessary (hot glue guns, etc.)

Due Date: Friday, October 13th in Art Class
