Summary:
The team performed very well at LSSU! Overall, the team placed 11th out of 39 teams! We won 7 out of 12 qualification matches and received 39 state points for a grand total of 63 points. During the Alliance Selection portion of the event, teams were picking other high ranked teams and as a result we became the #7 Alliance Captain. We ultimately chose Team 6121 (RoboVikes) & Team 6112 (Cyberstangs). Unfortunately, due to a malfunction on our robot, a backup team had to be called to take our place in the playoffs which was Team 10605 (Techno Talons). Once that was called, our Alliance lost to Alliance 2.
However not all was lost as we won the Engineering Inspiration Award! Here is how FIRST describes this award:
"Celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community."
As a result, we now have to present to the judges at the state championship at Saginaw Valley!
