About Team 5980
EGR Robotics is the FIRST Robotics team of East Grand Rapids High School, located in East Grand Rapids, Michigan. EGR Robotics is registered as Team 5980 and competes in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) of FIRST. Being located in Michigan, we compete in the highly competitive Michigan District Championships sponsored by FIRST in Michigan.
Starting in the 2015 season, EGR Robotics earned 8 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) awards in its rookie season, and has continued to grow and develop, launching and mentoring many other teams along the way. East Grand Rapids Public Schools recognizes our team as a varsity sport, so we endeavor to continue to represent our school with a tradition of excellence.

Our mentors' goals are simple...to help transform youth of promise into young adults of character.
Sponsorship
Team 5980 requires funds throughout the season in order to attend competitions, order parts and supplies for the team and robot, and more.
We greatly appreciate donations, as they are what keeps our team going. As well as this, sponsorship doesn’t only have to be in the form of money; we are always looking for equipment donations and donated knowledge and time from mentors! Consider sponsoring us today!
