(INVITATION)

Objective of the learning :

The students are able to understand the definition of invitation
The students are able to invite a person/ people using "inviting sentence"
The students are able to accept an invitation
The students are able to neglect/reject/refuse an invitation
The students are able to make a dialogue of invitation include inviting, accepting and neglecting
The students are able to produce their own dialogue with the right pronouncation

an invitation is a request, a solicitation, or an attempt to get another person to join you at a specific event.

in conversational of invitation usually include " Inviting, Accepting and Neglecting"

3. Menolak Ajakan dan Undangan

Ada kalanya beberapa diantara kita tidak bisa menerima suatu undangan karena alasan tertentu. Berikut contoh kalimat refusing invitation:

I wish I could but … = Saya berharap saya bisa tetapi …
I’d love to but … = Saya ingin sekali tetapi …
I’d love to, but I have other plans = Saya ingin, tetapi saya punya rencana lain
I’ll pass that one = Aku akan lulus yang itu
I’m sorry I can’t. I have another schedule. = Maaf saya tidak bisa. Saya punya jadwal lain.
Sorry I can’t but thanks anyway = Maaf saya tidak bisa tapi terima kasih
Sorry, I can’t. I have a meeting = Maaf saya tidak bisa. Saya ada rapat
Thanks but i’m afraid I can’t = Terima kasih tetapi saya khawatir saya tidak bisa
Thanks for asking me but … = Terima kasih telah bertanya padaku tapi …
Unfortunately, I’m busy = Sayangnya, saya sibuk
