Third grade is a big year for many kids. It is the first year of state standardized testing, a new school for those moving up from WPS, and a grade in which students independence increases (grades and responsibilities).
We teach through the Common Core and Essential Standards which can be found at NC Department of Instructions website (www.ncpublicschools.org/curriculum/). These standards are just our guide and we strive to use them to help your child be the best they can be in the future. Teaching your a child is a privilege and task that I will not take granted and we are blessed with each day we get to learn together. While I go by the standards my methods of teaching are "old school" because it worked then and it works now.
