Wisdom Kwadzo Mprah

Dr. Wisdom Kwadzo Mprah was born in Kete Kratchie in the Western part of Volta Region. He is a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology -KNUST. He had his PhD in Disability Studies which he teaches at KNUST. He has affiliations with Ghana Association of the Deaf (GNAD), Ghana Federation of Disables and University Teacher Association of Ghana. He likes reading and watching movie

Kim Brittenham

Kim Brittenham is honored to serve in an advisory role to EEPD to help it fulfill its mission for accessible schools in Ghana. Brittenham has spent 18 years pushing for safe accessible schools in the United States both as a parent advocate for a student with multiple disabilities and as a technical assistance provider on the Americans with Disabilities Act. She has served on councils, advisory committees and workgroups to end violence against marginalized students and to increase leadership of students of color and those with disabilities. Experience has included: co-chair NCIL Violence & Abuse Committee, Advisory Council on Bullying & Harassment, VT state Department of Education, NIDLRR ADA grant manager, ACTCP ADA Coordinator, Commissioner on VT Governor's Commission on Women.

Deborah Lisi-Baker

Deborah Lisi-Baker is a disability rights advocate from the United States. A long time member of the independent living movement, Deborah is a former Executive Director at the Vermont Center for Independent Living and the former Associate Director of the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at UVM, where she oversaw UVM's Graduate Certificate in the Interdisciplinary Study of Disabilities. Deborah is the primary author of the Include!, a disability studies curriculum for K-12 classrooms sponsored by the Vermont SILC and for many years has served as a consultant on disability policy for federal and state programs and community organizations in Vermont.

Emmanuel Arko Akuffo

Mr. Emmanuel Arko Akuffo is a Ghanaian from the town called Akropong-Akuapem in the Eastern Region of Ghana but resides in Koforidua. He is a banker, a farmer and a preacher. He studied ACIB, Diploma in Commerce at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He has over thirty (30) years of experience in the banking profession. He is married with Five (5) children. Mr. Emmanuel works at South Akim Rural Bank Ltd. Suhum.

Irene Nuekie Ayihi

Mrs. Irene Nuekie Ayihi is a Ghanaian from the town called Somanya in the Eastern Region. She is an Assistant Director I of the Ghana Education Service in the Nsawam/Adoagyiri Municipality. Irene has Master’s in Guidance and Counselling in the education profession. She counsels students, parents and teachers on educational, social and personal issues. Irene organizes career guidance for basic and secondary students. She also talks to address issues such as substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, time management etc. Irene has been in the teaching profession for twenty- three years now. Irene is married with three children.

William Evans Mensah

Mr. William Evans Mensah was born at Keta in the Volta Region of Ghana. His both parents hailed from Klikor, though they settled at Keta for business. He had his degree in Business Management from the University of Cape Coast. He had a series of other training programs in the banking industry, sponsored by Ghana Commercial Bank Limited. Mr. Mensah worked in the bank for 37 years and retired on 23rd March, 2014.Currently, he is managing 3 Cement Depots. Concerning his social/community affiliations, he is a patron of east Ashiyie residents' association. He is also a member of the Global Evangelical Church Leadership in Adenta. He is also the current chairman, audit committee, chairman committee on the aged in church. He is married to Mrs. Christine Mensah, a retired psychiatric nurse. They have three children: two daughters and a son. He likes reading and watching football.

PROFESSOR KWADWO APPIAGYEI-ATUA

Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua is a member of the Ghana Bar and associate professor at the School of Law, University of Ghana, Legon, Accra where he teaches Public International Law and International Human Rights Law. He is also the representative lecturer from University of Ghana in the LL.M Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation course, Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Kwadwo obtained his Bachelor of Law (LLB, Hons) from the University of Ghana, Legon; Master of Laws (LLM) from Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada and his Doctor of Civil Law (DCL) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He then proceeded to do his post-doctoral fellowship at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland on a Bank of Ireland fellowship. Kwadwo just completed his Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowship at Centre for Educational Research and Development, Lincoln University, UK where he conducted a research on “Building Academic Freedom and Democracy in Africa.” He is a member of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Thematic Group 3 on "The Challenges of Social Inclusion: Gender, Inequalities and Human Rights" and formerly a Global Ethics Fellow of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, New York, USA. Additionally, Kwadwo serves as a Monitor for the Magna Charta Observatory at University of Bologna, Italy. He has several years of experience as a human rights activist, lawyer and scholar. He has also served as a consultant for various international and non-governmental organisations such as the United Nations (UN), the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), the International Centre for Transitional Justice (ICTJ), USA, the Africa Governance Monitoring and Advocacy Project (AfriMAP), UK, the Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), Senegal; the Open Society Global Global Drug Policy Program, USA. His consultancy works have covered areas including transitional justice, disability law, human rights and drugs policy, women’s rights across various parts of the world. Professor Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua currently serves as the Chief of Party for Chemonics International’s Ghana Case Tracking Activity, a USAID-sponsored project aimed at promoting efficiency in the delivery of criminal justice in Ghana.
