EPISODES

101 (Pilot)

Miles and Jordan arrive at 13 13th Avenue, eager to take up residence in their relatively luxurious new apartment. They can't believe their luck in landing the place, until Ted Crumpleman arrives to review the responsibilities to which they've legally bound themselves by signing the lease. Turns out they're required to be Special Assistants to Special Man, their mandatory third roommate, and the being who manages an interdimensional immigration program from the hallway bedroom, in order to maintain the dynamic balance of the universe - but they'll need to prove their potential to Special Man first. Meanwhile, a diverse group of D3 and D13 residents air grievances at the weekly Tenant Board Meeting.

102 (The Florgen Daniel’s Junior Day Daytime Ice Cream Social)

During this Florgen Daniels Junior Day Daytime Ice Cream Social, Special Man mingles through the pretty nice turnout introducing Miles and Jordan to an array of 13th floor residents. Hurley Surlihy and Dash Crash aren’t happy that the Tenant Board is funding a D13-focused event. They plot to sabotage the event by any means necessary, but every plan they execute just ends up making the party even more successful until, finally, D13 residents need to rescue them from their own machinations. Begrudgingly, Hurley and Dash stay for a homemade cupcake.

103 (Berniece)

On assignment from Special Man, Miles and Jordan help new arrival Berniece Trell settle into her apartment, then escort her around Central City to run errands and attend a job interview. Complications arise when Berniece's pheromones overwhelm D3 residents with non-romantic attraction. When Miles and Jordan eventually begin to cramp her style, now-Mayor Trell has Miles and Jordan added to the citywide "watch list" and forcibly ejected from her office. Arriving back at Apartment 1313, Miles, Jordan, and Special Man hold the first rehearsal for their band (most of which revolves around a band name discussion), which raises their spirits considerably.

104 (Pring! The Noise!)

Miles and Jordan attempt to settle a dispute between heavy-footed Pring and downstairs neighbor Hurley Surlihy. After a rocky start, the two begin to bond while working together to install noise-proof installation between floors. Meanwhile, Miles and Jordan run into trouble when they visit Multiface to inquire after a late Maintenance Fee payment. Concurrently, Darva goes door to door on the 12th floor as part of her campaign to be elected the new Tenant Board President. All three stories connect at the moment of resolution in what will certainly be a clever twist.

105 (An Uneasy Piece)

In an effort to improve tenant relations, the Board holds a Universal Language Talent Contest and, since the winner gets a half-month’s free rent, interest is high. An impressive array of acts compete to see who can “communicate the thing that is the most clearly true regardless of personal perspective”, as is D13 tradition. Both D3 and D13 tenants are offended when Moment’s Notice (the band recently formed by Miles, Jordan, and the Special Man; formerly Mind's I, formerly The Almonds) takes first place, even though public sentiment clearly favored a duet by daughters from rival D3/D13 families (The Beckles and The Z'ydons). The residents, and the two families, resolve their bad feelings during the young duo's final performance of a particularly challenging piece of music.

106 (The Case of the (Potentially) Purloined Package)

Miles and Jordan become sleuths when Belinda Drabben's monthly hair spray delivery turns up missing. Mushy Fustache comforts Drabbens as the mystery unfolds. Who pinched the hair spray, and why? The answer may surprise you.

107 (Costume Dinner Party)

In an effort to impress, Miles and Jordan invite Bon Anne (and, politely, roommate Sunny) to a Costume Dinner Party. Special Man offers to have it lavishly catered - for a price. He’ll require a “VIP’s welcome” to the event in addition to a “plus one”. Unfortunately, the Special Man brings K’rill, a famously bad guest. Meanwhile, Vincent Saint-Onge and Rasco run into trouble fixing a leaky pipe in Apartment -13278. It actually improves the dinner's rising tensions when Saint-Onge and Rasco break through the floor grasping to the back of a wild D13 sewage pipe (sentient class). Talking with Miles and Jordan as the evening winds down, Bob Anne agrees to a date, though it's not quite clear with whom.

108 (Jiles Mordan)

A rift grows between Miles and Jordan when the former catches the latter listening to the new album by Jordan Miles, the legendary keytar hero and nemesis of Miles Jordan, the legendary guitar hero (and key figure in their relationship). The cold front affects their Special Assistant work, which annoys Special Man. So, Special Man uses his reality-bending abilities to merge Miles Jordan and Jordan Miles into the misshapen thing that calls itself “Jiles Mordan”. Reunited in concern for Jiles Mordan, Miles and Jordan convince Special Man to reverse the procedure - but he’ll need time to replenish his reality-bending plasms first. Miles and Jordan host Jiles Mordan while Special Man prepares for the procedure. They get to know him and, in the process. Jiles Mordan gets to know him selves. Once recreated in their original forms, Miles Jordan and Jordan Miles team up to form the Miles Jordan Jordan Miles Experience, and you’ll never guess who gets backstage passes to the world tour kickoff show!

109 (Special Convention)

The Special Man invites Miles and Jordan to Special Convention, an annual gathering of Specials and Special Assistants from across the dimensions. In addition to multiple Specials (Special Man, Special Woman, Special Wombat, etc.), Miles and Jordan meet a number of their extra-dimensional counterparts. During the third night's post-program mixer, Jordan sparks a romance with Maggie from D92, while Miles risks it all in an epic dart contest. The next day, Miles, Jordan, and Special Man endure a quiet train-ride home, avoiding eye contact. Through the gradually less-stilted conversation which ensues, they each reveal their tales' end.

110 (On the Road)

Flash and Dash Crash live in the same basement studio where their parents home-based the family act Hacky Crash!, which showcased the family's extreme hacky sack skills - and since then things have not been looking up. So when asked to open for them at a Wednesday night headline slot at the Knoxville County fair, Miles, Jordan, and the Special Man can't bring themselves to say no. After all, the gig might just spark a comeback for the Crash brothers - if they can add enough signatures to the mailing list and bump merch a bit. On route, Flash and Dash detour to ask older sister Ash (now a corporate lawyer) and younger brother Cash (now a happily married family man) to rejoin the band, and are turned down each time, So, in addition to the opening spot, Miles, Jordan, and Special Man join Hacky Crash! for "one last crazy night of sack hacking glory, my dudes!" Back at 13 13th Avenue, Rasco grants sentience to Vincent Saint-Onge's plunger "Plungy" in an attempt to cheer his friend following a recent gamnling loss. But "Plunge-ochio" turns out to be a handful - especially once a representative of "The Ownership" arrives on the premises for a surprise inspection.

111-112 Debate Night (Parts 1-2)

The episode documents the full proceedings of the week's Tenant Board Meeting, featuring the hotly-anticipated debate between current Tenant Board President Ted Crumpleman and current Candidate for Tenant Board President Darva Darvae. Meanwhile, Miles, Jordan, and Special Man face an imminent universe-scale implosion when the Gateway gets clogged by Infinite Sam. They make their way through the body mass until they reach the pineal gland, which transcends Sam from infinitely large to infinitely small when tickled.
