Exercise 0: Set Up Google Site and GitHub

Before we begin, it is important to note that there are multiple ways to create a Google Site especially if you log into sites.google.com

Google Sites

• For your site to be linked to the class site, go to our class website
• Click the "i" -> "Google Sites"
• Press the "+"
• Edit site name and page title
• Write the Stevens pledge in the footer
• Click "Publish"
• Note: Dr. Lu requests you post your website link in the canvas course chat

GitHub

• Sign In or Create a new account
• Follow on screen prompts to finish account setup
• Go to "Your Account" -> "Repositories" -> "New"
• This creates your repository. Name it, add a README.txt file describing it
• Click "Commit"
• Post GitHub repo link in canvas course chat
