General Duties:
Preparing and lecturing a range of business courses to full- and part-time students.
Developing appropriate teaching and learning materials in addition to university curriculum.
Assessing students in accordance with university standards.
Involved in internal quality assurance and moderation.
Promote, develop and evaluate a range of provision within the curriculum area.
Stay up to date with new developments in the field and evaluate new approaches to curriculum delivery.
Responsible for marking and monitoring student progress.
Raising course standards in relation to learner success and satisfaction.
Providing information and advice to support students in accordance with university standards.
Assist with marketing and promotion of course.
Ensuring that interaction with learners is inclusive and fosters good relations between different groups.
Ensuring specific needs are identified through assessment, and being mindful of cultural or gender differences.
Engaging with the broader scholarly and professional communities.
Supervise or assist with supervision of students.
Helping pupils improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills via individual and group sessions.
Maintaining awareness and observation of fire and health and safety regulations.
Administrative Duties:
Create lesson plans and lecture to class, individually to students and in small groups.
Student headcount and attendance register.
Preparing teaching materials.
Checking and assessing students' work.
Grading assessments.
Carry out research in line with each course.
