SRI AUROBINDO ASHRAM
The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is located in the eastern part of Pondicherry. It is a peaceful spiritual community where members live and work in different buildings. At the centre is the main Ashram building, which includes the Samadhi, a white marble shrine where Sri Aurobindo and the Mother are laid to rest.
The Ashram provides basic needs like food, shelter, clothing, and medical care. It also offers facilities for study, arts, and physical activities such as sports and yoga.
The Ashram is managed by the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Trust, established by the Mother in 1955.
