DAY 3
DAY 3
Train the Trainer (Theme 2)
Over the past two years, the outbreak has dramatically changed our lives, work and relationships. As we navigated through the storm, we have learned many lessons along the way and became more aware of the advantages offered by the virtual communication/model. Virtual events have experienced higher attendance along with lower operational costs and quicker launch times. However, with some travel restrictions and local regulations lifted away, many are eager to resume on-site communication/events. Still, they don’t want to give up all the advantages offered by the online model so they pursue a hybrid model, which combines the traditional in-person model with the virtual one.
This new model is extremely challenging as it requires meticulous planning and a solid setup. The difference in experience between in-person and online attendees is the biggest block with hybrid events. Online attendees need to feel as welcomed and included as those in person but this has proven to be difficult. In this session, we will explore how to create an effective hybrid event and guarantee an engaging experience from speakers, panelists, participants and attendees. We’ll also collect examples and experiences of hybrid models from the perspective of organizers and attendees. Most importantly, we’ll look back at the advantages offered by the virtual model to understand how it can be applied effectively in the hybrid model.
This year the Education Summit TtT session brings together training providers to discuss the development of a virtual delivery Train the Trainer course using a distributed classroom model. The session will build upon existing resources and expertise to comprehensively design and develop the TtT course, discuss logistical issues and complete the initial steps in organising the course.
Aim of Session (Theme 1)
