Stéphane Dias is a Ph.D. in Linguistics (PUCRS) and a professor of Portuguese and English at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology Farroupilha. She was a member of the executive committee of the event Dialogue Under Occupation VII, and a Fulbright-Capes Visiting Research Student at Rutgers University Center for Cognitive Science (RuCCS, USA). She participated in the Global Classroom Project, organized by One to World (New York), and in the International Young Leaders Assembly in 2018 as a delegate from Brazil.

Aline Lorandi is a Ph.D. in Linguistics (PUCRS), with a Post-Doctorate in Cognitive Neurosciences (Birkbeck College-University of London), and a professor for more than 20 years, at various levels of education - from early childhood education to higher education. She has experience in the themes of linguistic and cognitive development and also in the neurosciences of learning. Currently, she is dedicated to scientific dissemination in the area of child development, through the YouTube channel “Land” and its pages on Instagram and Facebook.

Tony Devine works with Ministries of Education, educational systems, schools, universities as well as private and civil society stakeholders to reimagine what it means to educate in preparing students to be future-ready and be successful in all aspects of their lives. He oversees the development of the Transformation of Education, Moral and Innovative Leadership, Character and Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Digital Literacy programs in countries around the world. These programs and advocacy efforts develop character and values that guide skills such as creativity, problem-solving, communications, collaboration in the application of new knowledge for the greater benefit of humanity. He is a contributor to the Advisory Group of OECD’s Future of Education & Skills 2030 Project.

Joe is the founder of One World United and Virtuous, an organization committed to improving human understanding and cooperation. The primary vehicle is One World Youth Clubs, which serve 500 students in 25 schools in 6 different countries. The goal of One World Youth Clubs is creating a global learning network of leaders of character, knowledgeable of the world around them, and capable of changing it for the better. Prior to founding One World, Joe worked in emerging market finance for 30 years with a focus on South America. In addition to his background in finance, Joe recently completed 8 years as Town Supervisor of the Town of Rye. 



Valesca Brasil Irala is Associate Professor 2 at the Federal University of Pampa (UNIPAMPA) in Brazil. Ph.D. in Letters (Applied Linguistics), Pontifical Catholic University of Pelotas (UCPel), with post-doctorate at the Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación, at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay). She is currently a professor at the Licenciatura em Letras (Additional Languages-English and Spanish) and at the Masters in Teaching. She was coordinator of the Masters in Language Teaching, where she guided research on the development of authorial didactic materials and the use of educational technologies. She is currently part of the Assessment in Higher Education Network (AHE) and the International Network for Formative and Shared Assessment in Higher Education (REFYCES). She is the leader of the Learning, Methodologies, and Assessment Research Group (GAMA / CNPq Directory), which presents an inter and transdisciplinary perspective. Her current research topics are methodologies, active learning, dropout, engagement, and assessment in higher education.

English professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha (IFFar) since 2012, teaching English as an additional language to students of High School in the Technical Course of Agriculture and to students of the technology course of Systems Analysis and Development. She holds an English teaching degree and a D.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Linguistic Studies from UFSM (Federal University of Santa Maria). Her research interests in the Applied Linguistics area have included critical genre analysis, English teaching materials, Multiliteracies, English for Specific Purposes and English as an additional language. However, nowadays she is interested in studying issues related to education and neurosciences, students’ motivation and assessment. She coordinates the International Affairs Committee at her campus.

Diely Valim is an MSc. in Linguistics (PUCRS). She has worked as an English and Portuguese professor for about 10 years before becoming an English and Portuguese professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology Farroupilha (IFFar) in 2014.

Barbara G. Avila is a Ph.D. in Computers in Education. She has been acting as pedagogical support  for 5 years, working since 2018 at Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology Farroupilha (IFFar). She is a member of "Language teaching and learning: a quantitative approach" research group, coordenated by Unipampa University.
