This was the second in-person camp hosted by EduCamp and a total of 18 students ranging from grades 5-9 attended. Many students were new to the topic of global issues, and no previous experience was required. Topics of interest were space vs. ocean exploration, world hunger/poverty, and corporate evils. Students also participated in an escape room, trivia, jeopardy, and presentations to demonstrate their learning.
Additionally, students participated in a werewolf game to test their critical thinking and teamwork skills.
At the library, students had access to an abundance of learning materials and resources, allowing them to create their own presentations. One of the tasks given to them was to give a presentation with only one photo on each slide, allowing them to practice their presentation skills.
