In this project we go into a deep dive on how social media impacts society and how it can impact myself.
The result I got back from the quiz said I was Fairly Reliant to social media. This is honestly true because i wouldnt say im on social media all the time because i work and also do other things but before going to sleep im on social media and even when i wake up also. My average screen time is 6 hours a day with it mostly being social media.
As the image shows 64 Percent of Americans think that social media have a negative impact in society and the ways things are going on in the country in this present time. I though about this in two ways certain adults didnt grow up with social media and now that its a big thing thats what they can blame it on and thats a lot of adults because social media didnt really get that big until the 2000's or even 2010 with instagram and Facebook, etc. As myself i think social media is a good place for oppurtunities, you can find inspiration or even make money from social media but i also do think that sometimes people are on social media to much and can have a negative impact but overall i think it provides many oppurtunities.
As i said previously Social Media is a good place for oppurtunities. As many younger people can learn stuff from it and stuff from around the world. Can also make money from social media from making your own content and get inspiration from social media. Now i know Social Media can also have its negative impact unfortunately with cyber bullying and other things like misinformation. I think overall Social Media can be a positive thing.
I think going through social media and its impact i think it can be very addicting and i should try to minimize the use of it. Otherwise i also learned new statistics about how others view social media and the impacts of social media in society.
