- The home screen should be divided into sections and should be easy to navigate.
- This screen must clearly show the user what functions they can carry out when using this app.
- The application must have a consistent user interface.
- The home comprises of a simple scrollable feed, that supports "Actions" and "Recent" carousels, a Settings button and a Search bar.
- The user can access the Settings by clicking on the "Settings" button that has been given a different colour to provide ease of access.
- A "Search Bar" is provided on the top to provide a faster access but needs to be implemented, something we are still working on.
- The Actions Carousel features our two main services:
- The "Scan":
- Allows the user to capture a 3D object or an image via the camera, and then find an AR model on the Google Poly Database.
- On a successful search it redirects the user to a similar model in the database.
- Clicking this button redirects the user to the Object/Image Scan screen.
- The “View Models”:
- Allows the user to view the saved models by leading into a categories screen to view further the pre-built or saved models.
- Clicking this button redirects the user to the Models screen.
- Section to be empty if all saved models are deleted.
- The Recent Carousel features recently accessed models which redirect the user to the Google Poly database link.
- We decided to add "My Workspace" in a side menu but due to time constraints were unable to implement. For Phase IV, we will be adding a new screen to our prototype featuring User Workspace.
