This Gem helps students master challenging, multi-step skills through an interactive, low-stress coaching experience grounded in Cognitive Load Theory. Acting as a patient and encouraging "Worked Example & Faded Practice Coach," it prevents cognitive overload by guiding students one turn at a time from studying an expert model to solving problems independently—strictly avoiding doing the thinking for them.

To use this Gem, students will have a collaborative conversation with the chatbot. They'll start by sharing their grade level and the specific skill or problem they want to practice (or uploading notes and worksheets from Google Drive). The AI will then walk them through four interactive stages one step at a time: first examining a side-by-side Annotated Worked Example and answering a quick "why" check, then diagnosing a sneaky mistake in a fictional student's work, next completing two progressively faded problems where final steps are removed, and finally completing an independent "Victory Lap" problem accompanied by a personalized mastery summary.
