To evaluate the professional development sessions, this districthas remodelednumerous existing rubrics for professional development to create a set of highly effective indicators. These criteria align with the goals of the increasing use of Google Classroom for staff. Effective professional development evaluations require collecting and analyzing the five critical levels of the Professional Development Evaluation Rubric, shown in Figure 1 (Guskey, 2000). With each succeeding level, the process of gathering evaluation information gets a bit more complicated. Teachers in the Google Classroom professional development will be asked to complete a quiz at the end of each session with feedback due to being “the most powerful single moderator that enhances achievement," (Hattie, 1999).
