Student Tools
During your studies, you will need to access many different services provided by the university. These services range from accessing coursework, communicating with university staff, and checking your information. This article will discuss each service, how to access them, and what they are used for.
Central Authentication System https://login.umlub.pl/
The Central Authentication System is the page that is used to unify your account information. This site acts similarly to a login portal. This site is particularly useful for changing your account password for all services provided by the university. As a new student with first time access to the system, you will be able to set up your password by following the link that will be sent to the email address you provided to the university. After setting your password, you will be able to use that password to access services of the university. In the case that you forgot your password or your password no longer functions, head to the Central Authentication System and click Reset Password, select Email Address and type in the same personal email address that you provided to the university.
USOSWeb https://usosweb.umlub.pl/
USOSWeb is the website used by the university to access general student information. Here, you will be able to find out the name of the courses you are taking, see specific registration information, and the most importantly, access your Final Grades for your course under the student section. Additionally, if you are interested in obtaining a digital student card (mLegitymacja), you will be able to do so here. Logging into this website uses your index number (5-digit) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
Moodle https://e-learning.umlub.pl/
Moodle is the service used by the university for general coursework. In most of your classes, your professors will post the syllabus, course rules and regulations, course contents, and other teaching materials here. Sometimes, professors may also host quizzes here and you may also submit your presentations or assignments here. To access coursework, your professor will need to provide you with the password to the course. Logging into this website uses your index number (5-digit) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
The ACEM system is the examination system that is used for many end-of-year final examination. In this system, you will be able to access information about regulations of ACEM examination, an example examination, and scores from the exams. This system will be used when you have your examination, so it is important to familiarise yourselves with the system. Please also note that you will need to log into the website at least once prior to your first examination to avoid any issues during the examination. Logging into this website uses your index number (5-digit) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
Outlook https://outlook.com/
Outlook is the email service that is used by the university. The email address given to students ends with @umlub.edu.pl. This is generally the best way to communicate with professors, the finance office, and the dean's office. Professors will also communicate with you through here, especially if you are the year representative/leader. Logging into this website uses your email address (IndexNo@umlub.edu.pl) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
Microsoft Teams https://teams.microsoft.com/
Microsoft Teams is the service used for online meetings by the university. You will need to access this service for most e-lectures. To access the e-lecture for your course, you professor will need to provide you with the link or password to the course. It is important for you to use the university account (@umlub.edu.pl) to access lectures as this will prevent issues with joining the meetings. Logging into this website uses your email address (IndexNo@umlub.edu.pl) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
Eduroam
Eduroam is the wifi service used by the university. This wifi is available on all buildings of the university, with exceptions of some of the university's hospitals. Logging into this website uses your email address (IndexNo@umlub.edu.pl) and the password you have set up on the Central Authentication System.
If your device asks you for specific information of the wifi network, the following information applies:
SSID - eduroam
Security - WPA & WPA2 Enterprise
CA Certificate - Trust on First Use (TOFU) (If this is not available, select None)
Inner Authentication - MSCHAPv2 (No EAP)
Username - IndexNo@umlub.edu.pl
Password - Your Password Set on the Central Authentication System
University Library & Databases
The university provides many external resources that students can use to broaden their knowledge. These resources are provided by the university library. To access these databases, you must be on university wifi (Eduroam) or have a proxy set up. See information above on how to connect to the Eduroam Network. Some resources may require you to sign up to remotely access resources off campus and in their respective apps. For this type of remote access, you must also be first connected to university wifi (Eduroam) or have a Proxy Setup.
