Is carrying a physical student card inconvenient? Or do you keep losing your physical student card? If that's the case, then you may be interested in obtaining a digital student card (mLegitymacja). The mLegitymacja card serves as a digital document that supplements your physical card. This digital card is accepted as proof of student status in all places where a physical card is also accepted. This means that mLegitymacja will entitle you to discounts for public transport and other services. You will need the following to obtain the mLegitymacja:

• Physical Student ID Card issued by the University with your Index Number and a Valid Sticker

• Powszechny Elektroniczny System Ewidencji Ludności (PESEL) Number on your Student Card

  • Note: As a foreign student, your student card will show the PESEL number as XXXXXX00000, this is a Placeholder and not the real PESEL number.

• Access to the USOS System and a Photo in the USOS System

• The mObywatel App (iOS/Android)

Once you have obtained all of the following, you may begin the process to obtain the mLegitymacja:

1. Submit your student card to the Front Desk and wait for the card to be entered into the system.

2. Navigate to USOSWeb > Student Section > mLegitymacja and locate the button to start the process.

• Note: If you do not see a button, it means step 1 is not yet completed or you are missing a prerequisite (i.e. PESEL Number)

3. Follow the instructions in the mObywatel App to scan the QR Code and fill the codes from the USOS Website.

4. Every semester, you will need to repeat this process as the mLegitymacja will need to be revalidated.
