My active involvement as an artist began in 1996 with my retirement from college teaching as a professor of art education. I have always made art, but prior to my retirement as Professor Emeritus from Lehman College of the City University of New York, it was interspersed with writing in the field of art education.
My teaching experience includes 25 years at Lehman College, maintaining a private art school for nine years when my children were very young and six years teaching art in Junior High school and then High School. As art educator, I have written numerous articles and the book Art for Exceptional Children. (1984)
