As I want everyone (and I mean everyone!) to get 100% in this course, below are some simple but easy-to-miss tips that will help you succeed in this class:
Read ALL the text in this website THOROUGHLY. As this is an asynchronous online course, most of the important information will be communicated in text. If you had a habit of skimming through long passages (I'm always guilty of this), this is NOT the semester to do that! You will be very likely to miss important instructions that will prevent you from getting full points.
Set your own deadlines a bit earlier than the final due date. The assignments will often have readings, a couple of videos to watch, and a bit of writing. If you wait until the last minute - all the tasks will run together and get pretty complicated. Remember that LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Plus, it will give you some extra time to ask me questions if you encounter any difficulties while working on the tasks.
Check your email frequently. Important updates or announcements will be shared through eLC emails, so make sure you check your inbox regularly. Remember to read every sentence in the email carefully!
Email: You can always email me at dy1@uga.edu if you have any questions. I usually reply within 24 hours during weekdays.
Office Hour: By appointment via Zoom
Q&A Board: For simpler questions, add a post on our Q&A board. I or anyone who has the answer will be able to reply to you.
New set of unit will be posted on this website on Mondays by noon.
Each unit will have 3-4 tasks. Specific due dates will be stated at the beginning of each unit. Tasks are due Sundays at midnight unless specified otherwise. LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED without sufficient reason.
Tasks are graded usually within a week after the due date. Grades will be available in eLC. (See the Syllabus for grading policy.)
Course updates, etc. will be sent via email as needed. Check email frequently.

This class is definitely not rocket science and my goal is certainly for everyone to earn an A. However, "simple" is probably a better word choice than "easy." I do my best to make the course tasks as simple as possible - but they will take time, effort, and creativity. My goal is for you to have an understanding of the role of technology tools in teaching and learning - specifically in K12 learning environments. That's going to take some reading, researching, writing, exploring, and creating.
