The tool that I chose to utilize to recreate some of my work from last year was a blog. I wrote the beginning of a blog post on a research topic that I wrote about in my Social Work class last year. The research topic was the relationship between homelessness and mental health issues. In the blog post I created, I used two cartoon photos and wrote a paragraph summarizing the main points of my previous research paper. The exact tool I used was https://www.blogger.com/about/?bpli=1.
A blog post helps to facilitate learning more than just writing a research paper about a topic. Creating a blog allows students to use their creativity by including images or videos and also allows for students to think more broadly about major issues. Sometimes when writing a research paper, students become so focused on making sure all of the small details and formatting are exactly perfect, but with a blog the information can be more general and there is no "exact" way to format, so students can focus more on what they are actually researching/learning about.
My Resource Page created on Padlet goes over the tools of Google Classroom, Padlet, Remind, and Quizlet. For each tool, there is a small written description, a how to video that goes over how to use each tool, a tiktok video showing other teachers using the tool in their classrooms, and an audio recording of why I chose to include each tool.
