Introduction
At Edgemont Robotics, we strive to enrich our understanding of STEM fields through hands-on experience. We are proud of our intellectual diversity, and aim to provide an expansive learning experience for everyone. By applying technology to real-world problems, we grow and learn as a team. Our mission is to develop our skills as a group and accomplish various tasks using the number of skills that our members can provide.
In 2015, the Edgemont Robotics team was established for grades 7-12. During our first year, we didn’t have a large budget so we had to fund-raise. In the second year, we have been able to raise enough money to gain the necessary materials to build and compete in the First Tech Challenge. We are so grateful for the amount of support we have received from the community. These contributions will help provide experience, convenience, and most importantly, money for building Proof of Concepts that will help us win. We are going to develop hardware, software, and build all types of robots.
Our overall goal is to teach others, work as a team, be safe, gain experience, and have fun. We have persevered through all the various obstacles and develop a robot worthy enough to succeed and come out on top. We want to motivate students to learn about programming and robotics at a young age, to change the world in the future. Our various skilled and experienced members are more than ready to help teach others to code.
