“This year is about growth, creativity, and kindness, and we want our students to feel safe, heard, and inspired.”
On Monday morning, July 7, 2025, Escuela de Angela Marici's gates opened wide to the sounds of friendly welcomes, laughing, and the anxious excitement of pupils beginning a new school year. Teachers stood at their doors with warm grins and open arms, and bright posters adorned the hallways, welcome both new and returning students.
For many, it was a day to catch up with teachers, classmates, and friends. Others were entering the school community for the first time, and there was an optimistic vibe in the air that only the first day of classes can provide.
“I was nervous at first, but my teacher was so kind,” said Grade 5 student, who just transferred from another school. “Now I’m excited to come back tomorrow.”
Each classroom had a brief orientation to start the morning. Teachers gave a brief introduction, laid the expectations, and urged pupils to have ambitious dreams. Students also talk about their vacation experiences and the places they went to unwind. One student said, "It seems short, but we miss the school."
Parents, too, experienced mixed emotions, with some lingering at the gates for longer than usual and others taking photos to commemorate the milestone. Ma'am Cynthia, the principal of the school, greeted everyone with a kind grin.
As the day unfolded, it became clear that Escuela de Angela Marici was not just starting another school year—it was building another chapter of memories, achievements, and lasting friendships.
