Q: Who is eligible?
A: Any Eden OR North Collins students in grades 7, 8, and 9 for the 24-25 school year.
Q: What skills do I need?
A: No experience necessary! You just need to come willing and ready to learn.
We HIGHLY recommend coming to spring/summer open practices and camp. You will learn so much before the season starts and not feel as overwhelmed and rushed once the season starts-- there is a lot to learn your first season!
Q: Are there tryouts?
A: There are not tryouts but there are requirements:
Must be registered and approved for modified cheer by August 26.
Must attend all practices. If you are not at the first practice you are not eligible for the season.
Must be passing all classes at the end of the 2023-2024 school year.
Q: Are there games/competitions?
A: Modified cheer will cheer at all home modified and varsity football games and compete at Game Day style competitions.
Q: Do I need to pass the APP test?
A: No!! APP testing is not required for modified sports.
Q: Can I try out for Varsity?
A: No, you may only be asked to tryout for Varsity only if there is need, you are approached by the Varsity coach and you have taken and achieved the minimum scores for a varsity athlete according to the APP AND Varsity rubrics.
