In 2014 as a soap making company based out of my parents' house using milk and wool from my boss's sheep, I moved to my own property in 2018. I entered the Valais Blacknose Breed-Up Program with the purchase of two bred Scottish Blackface Ewes in 2020, and received them right before the COVID shutdown.
To breed the highest quality of sheep possible, continuing to breed up with imported genetics. To show the sheep according to Swiss standards, and keep them in the best health possible. To promote the breed through exhibition, sales of sheep as well as sales of fiber and fiber arts, and sheep milk soap, and maintaining a positive social media presence.
I have always had a love of animals and crafting from a young age. I began working at a livestock farm in 2011 which primarily focused on sheep, and once Valais came available in the US, I jumped on the train as soon as I was able. Through connections with my main career as an agriculture educator, I learned about fiber arts and soap making, which ensured that my sheep had a purpose.
