Office hours: Any time via phone or ZOOM. Details will be given in class 1.

Typical Weekly Overview

The class takes place on ZOOM from 5:35 to 8:25 on Monday and Wednesday nights this spring. Assuming class decides not to take a break class ~ we will end at 8:05. Here's a tentative breakdown depending on the class vote during the first class:

5:35 hellos, recap from the previous class, sharing news

6:00 to 6:40 breakout 1: discussion on the readings ---> the theory part

6:45 to 7:30 hands-on tech activities ---> the practical part

7:30 to 8:05 hands-on lab on apps ----> small group work ---> content creation ---> designing teaching unit or module ---? etc.

Because class takes place two times a week and it's spring; the course sequence should flow nicely... I mean that we'll take care of the heavy-duty reading stuff typically on Monday nights (as described above) and leave the more practical hands-on constructivist stuff for Wednesday night. Details to follow.

I will send out a Google form to gauge the interests and topics the class wants to explore.

We may examine the ACE Framework ...

Model developed by Open Learning & Teaching Collaborative at Plymouth University

.... and we will probably use Quebec's Digital Competency Framework (2019) to help anchor our technology explorations with 'practical' solutions for blended / bimodal teaching environments.
