Apply to Education is a resume platform that connects you to school divisions across Canada. 93% of school divisions across Canada use Apply to Education but there are a select few school boards that do not. For example Edmonton Public and Calgary Public have their own platform as they are such large school divisions.
Before you start your application with school divisions, make sure you have the following:
An up to date criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check
3 signed and dated reference letters and/ or reference list with contact information
Practicum evaluations (You may need to scan them as separate documents)
Resume and cover letter
Copy of current Transcripts Transcripts ordered from the registrar to be picked up after final marks are submitted.

Edmonton Public School Board does not use Apply to Education. They have a portal that opens up a couple of times a year for people to submit their applications.
For the past few years, Concordia students have had the incredible opportunity to apply to EPSB on 2 specific days that are only open for CUE Ed students around February. This is an opportunity that is not offered to other institutions! If you are not sure of where you would like to teach in the spring or the following fall, there is no harm in applying to more than one district!
Make sure that you have an updated criminal record check that is valid within 6 months of applying to EPSB.
