What is the 'Winning Answers to Residency Interview Questions' course? How will it help me with the practice interview?

Residency Interview is your ONE last shot at getting into your dream program. To help you succeed, we offer Dr Agrawal's 'Winning Answers to Residency Interview' self-paced course to confidently answer any of the 40+ frequently asked interview questions by the program director. This course is bundled with Dr. Agrawal’s interview and is optional (but highly recommended) with Dr. Irshad and Dr. Shah's interview—for your flexibility and success. 

Can I have a practice interview but without the course?

We DON'T recommend this as you will be hurting your chances at the real interview. Remember that you need to have your answers ready for many more interview questions than can be asked in the 20 mins of practice interview. Plus the course helps you prepare really well both for the practice AND the real interviews.

How should I setup for the online interview?

Zoom app (unlike the Zoom website, the Zoom app allows recording of the interview), high speed internet, webcam and microphone are adequate for quality video calls. You need to be in a quiet room to avoid distraction. Dress formally as you would on interview day. 

Why do you need my ERAS application and personal statement?

The interviewer personalizes their interview questions based on your desired specialty, past learning experiences and any clarifications or deficiencies on your personal statement or CV.

What can I do if I am hesitant to send personal information in my application?

You can strike out personal details such as DOB, mailing address, or any identifying information as per your personal judgement. Ed4MedUS takes interviewee's confidentiality very seriously and deletes all your submitted materials after completion of the service. 

Can I ask you questions during the interview?

Yes, you should definitely ask questions regarding the (imaginary) residency program and educational opportunities just like you would in a real residency interview. After the practice interview is concluded, you can ask further questions about your interview preparation and performance when you receive feedback.

How long is the interview?

The meeting with is 20 minutes for the practice interview and 40 minutes for feedback on your performance and Q&A.

What do I get after my interview?

You get personalized feedback based on your performance at the practice interview. Use your laptop to record the entire interview + feedback for your review.
