We are really happy to meet you here!
We hope you are a fun of Finno-Ugric culturs too as we are!
And probably you can understand / speak one or more Finno-Ugric languages!
What languages do you like to hear: Karelian, Estonian, Udmurtian, Erzjan, Mokshan, Hungarian, Mari, Komi, Khanty, Mansi, Saami, Finnish or others?
Did you participate in the Days of Related Finno-Ugric people in Finland, Estonia and other countries, in the "Sugrifest" and in other events the Finno-Ugric cultural capitals, in various Finno-Ugric events, as we did?
Here are some pictures from the last "Sugrifest" ("Suomalais-Ugrilaiset Festari").
Would you like to take part in activities to introduce Finno-Ugric culture to children and young people in Helsinki?
We kindly invite you to be a part of intercultural projects of the Educational Initiatives Center (Finno-Ugric Point)
And of course, we will be happy to support your educational Initiatives in Helsinki and other places in Finland!
At the moment we creation the project "It's time to talk" for schools with classes of students who have intolerant attitudes towards “others” and give rise to intercultural conflicts.
We will engage students in exciting activities that will show the value of different Finno-Ugric cultures, the value of different people and the value of interaction with “others”
We would like to create more lessons for different subjects in which Finno-Ugric cultures help school students to begin appreciating cultural diversity (so school teachers could choose the lessons and invite us to give them).
Our plan is to implement this project in schools in Vuosaari, East Helsinki in 2024-2025 school year.
If you would like to be part of a community who wish introducing Finno-Ugric culture to children and young people in, come to our fun and inspiring events!
We organise various meeting and events in Helsinki for cteative people who can speak in English, Russian, Finnish and other Finno-Ugric languages.
Please, see our plans for 2025 and join us!
