EcoScan AI is a mobile application that allows users to:

• Estimate CO₂ footprint and sustainability impact

• View eco scores and insights

• Discover better product alternatives

• Track sustainability activity locally on device

The app uses AI (Google Gemini) to generate insights and recommendations.

3. AI Disclaimer

EcoScan AI provides AI-generated estimates, including:

• CO₂ footprint

• Sustainability scores

• Product insights

• Recommendations

These are:

• Approximate and not guaranteed to be accurate

• Based on available data and AI interpretation

• Not scientific measurements or certified assessments

EcoScan AI does not provide professional, environmental, or regulatory advice.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the app for lawful purposes only

• Not misuse or attempt to reverse engineer the app

• Not upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content

• Ensure any images or data you upload are yours or you have permission to use them

5. Data Usage

• Your data is stored locally on your device

• When using AI features, selected data (images or text) may be sent to Google Gemini for processing

• EcoScan AI does not store your personal data on external servers

6. Subscriptions & Payments (if applicable)

If you purchase a premium subscription:

• Payments are handled through Apple App Store / Google Play

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled

• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device settings

EcoScan AI does not handle payment data directly.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the app, including:

• Design

• Branding

• UI/UX

• Code

belongs to EcoScan AI and may not be copied or reused without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

EcoScan AI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.

We are not responsible for:

• Decisions made based on AI-generated insights

• Inaccurate CO₂ or sustainability estimates

• Any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the app

9. Service Availability

We may:

• Update or modify features at any time

• Limit or discontinue parts of the app

• Improve AI models and outputs without notice

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if:

• Terms are violated

• The app is misused
