The Institute of Economic Growth (acronym IEG),[1] is an autonomous body and civil service training institute under the Government of India, founded in 1952 by the renowned economist, V. K. R. V. Rao, for advanced research on economic and social development. It is widely regarded as a centre of excellence in the field.[2] The Institute is situated on Malka Gunj road, at University Enclave, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India.

TCI funds and operates a summer internship program that places Cornell University masters and professional degree candidates with research internship opportunities across India. Interns work to propel TCI research in any of our main research areas, and specific internships/project opportunities depend on what projects are in need of support.

The core purpose of CPPR is facilitating ‘solutions to change.’ We believe that combined effort and focused actions are crucial to the realisation of such a process. The conscious efforts of socially responsible citizens are essential to set a pace of change in society.

The Centre for Policy Research (CPR) has been one of India’s leading public policy think tanks since 1973. The Centre is a non-profit, non-partisan independent institution dedicated to conducting research that contributes to the production of high quality scholarship, better policies, and a more robust public discourse about the structures and processes that shape life in India.

Established in 1976, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA) was tasked to bridge the gap between research and practice on issues related to urbanization, and suggest ways and mechanisms to address urban challenges in the country. For more than 40 years now, NIUA has been the vanguard for contributing to, and at times, building the urban narrative for a fast-evolving urban India. The institution has been actively working on bringing forth key areas of concern for urban India in order to build the discourse at various urban scales.

The internship programme provides an excellent opportunity for budding scholars to familiarize themselves with the process of formulation of foreign policy and its implementation by the Government of India.

Interns shall report to and work under close supervision of the concerned Head of Division (HOD). Established in 1956, NCAER is India’s oldest and largest independent, non-profit, economic policy research institute. Six decades in the life of a nation is a long time. It is even longer in the life of an institution. But the promise of NCAER—to ask the right questions, gather good evidence, analyse it well, and share the results widely—has endured. India has achieved much, and much remains undone. As the economy has changed, so too has NCAER, to continue to help understand India’s rapid economic and social transformation. As newer and more complex economic challenges emerge, NCAER will have to do more to keep its promise.
