Titres de Cours :
1- Cours Prof. Mahmoudi :

Titre : Uniqueness and Non-Degeneracy of Positive Solutions to Fractional Elliptic Problems
Abstract :
This course presents a detailed study of the uniqueness and non-degeneracy of positive solutions to nonlinear elliptic problems involving the fractional Laplacian, focusing on both bounded domains and the whole space RN . We will consider least-energy solutions and, more generally, solutions with Morse index one, with special attention to ODE-free methods and nonlocal spectral analysis. As a model case, we will study the classical fractional Lane-Emden nonlinearity, which serves as a fundamental example to illustrate the variational structure, qualitative properties of solutions, and key analytical challenges in the nonlocal setting. A central theme is the use of ODE-free arguments that rely on a detailed understanding of the linearized problem around a positive solution. We will investigate the symmetry of the second eigenfunction of the linearized operator, and introduce new Picone-type inequalities that allow us to prove general symmetry and uniqueness results without assuming radial symmetry of the domain. In the case of the whole space RN , we will present a monotonicity formula-based argument that plays a crucial role in proving uniqueness and characterizing the behavior of ground states.
