Prosenjit Dawn - Founder and Convener
Eco-Club of Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya is Prosenjit's brain child. Being involved with different nature conservation and environment related activities and NGOs, Prosenjit always wanted to involve students in active conservation initiatives and wildlife research from beginning of their career, hence created this platform to provide the students proper exposure. Dr. Dhruba Chandra Dhali in associated with the organization from the beginning as a founder member and extends his continuous support to every activity and initiatives. He is an taxonomic expert of Spider Fauna and has keen interest in conservation initiatives.
The Team (Bunch of Champions):
The team mostly consists students from the Zoology department of S.S. Mahavidyalaya, though most active members are pursuing higher studies from different institutuins across the state. Students and general members from different other departments and other colleges are also involved. Apart from the common interest in conservation and love towards nature, we have photographers, artists, writers, musicians and many more talents in our team.
Soumyadip Santra Pursuing MSc in Zoology; very efficient in event management. Regularly conducts field surveys and leads awareness programs, wildlife rescue operations etc.
Suprakash Adak Pursuing MSc in ENVS. Very efficient birder and photographer. Leading member of survey teams and conducts nature walks for students.
Sridipta Manna An excellent artist. Completed BSc in Zoology and planning to explore Animation. Handles all art related assignments and field research simultaneously.
Iptishamun Nesha MSc in Zoology; Has keen interest in Nature study and research. Leads awareness programs, participate in research projects.
Susweta Bera MSc in Zoology; Has keen interest in Nature study and research. Leads wildlife rescue and awareness programs, participate in research projects.
Sourendu Banerjee BSc in Bioscience; Very regular in Nature study, wildlife rescue and outreach camps. Very good in event management and coordination of field projects.
Asis Panja BSc in Bioscience; Asis is very crucial background force for each activity who maintains accounts, laboratory responsibilities and takes care of other logistics.
