6th Grade Band

A full year course in band fundamentals. Performance opportunities in 6th Grade include:

• 2 concerts ​

  • February Winter Concert

  • May Spring Concert

• Coweta County Honor Band

  • Students may audition in the Spring semester for a spot in this group which is lead by nationally renowned teachers and conductors. ​

  • This is a two-day event that culminates in a performance! All students are encouraged to participate.

• Solo and Ensemble Festival​

  • Students have a chance to team up with their friends in 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade to perform as a small group or by themselves as a soloist for a judge and to receive a rating.​

  • This event is hosted and sponsored by the Georgia Music Educators Association
