Whether we’re creating new ideas, solving problems, or celebrating our wins, we all believe in showing up for each other and for the goals we’ve set.
Eclipse Racing is more than just a group—we’re a team, and we’re excited about what we can achieve.
CAIDYN - Team Manager
Responsible for leading the team and overseeing all aspects of project management. This includes planning, coordinating, and tracking progress to ensure that deadlines are met and goals are achieved. A key focus of the role is making sure that all race cars are properly prepared, tested, and ready for competition day.
DYLAN - Design Engineer
Responsible for the styling and aerodynamic performance of the car design, the engineer utilizes both 2D and 3D design tools to create and refine the vehicle’s appearance and airflow characteristics. They calculate critical factors such as the coefficient of drag, center of gravity, and speed to ensure optimal performance. Using analytical software, they simulate and analyze aerodynamic behavior to enhance efficiency and stability throughout the design process.
AIDEN - Manufacturing Engineer
Responsible for the styling and aerodynamic performance of the car design, the engineer uses 2D and 3D design tools to develop and refine the vehicle’s shape for both aesthetics and efficiency. They calculate key parameters like coefficient of drag, center of gravity, and speed, and use analytical software to simulate airflow and optimize performance. Collaborating with other engineering teams, they balance design goals with technical requirements to ensure the vehicle performs well in real-world conditions.
PAXTON - Design Manager
Responsible for the creation and development of the team’s complete visual identity and branding strategy. This includes designing the official team logo, crafting cohesive marketing materials, and establishing a distinctive and visually impactful car paint scheme. Additionally, produced high-quality 3D renderings of the car to support promotional efforts, sponsorship presentations, and digital media campaigns.
CARLY - Marketing Manager
Responsible for generating tailored and visually engaging sponsorship proposals for potential partners, emphasizing the team’s value, exposure opportunities, and branding potential. This included identifying and contacting relevant firms, developing outreach strategies, and marketing the team through email campaigns, social media, networking events, and presentations. Worked closely with design and communications teams to ensure all promotional materials aligned with the team’s identity and goals.
KEVIN VANGORDEN - Lead Adult/Class Instructor
Responsible for guiding students through hands-on projects that combine science, technology, engineering, and math principles with racing concepts. Also helps students design, build, and test model race cars (or similar vehicles), teach problem-solving and teamwork, ensure safety during activities, and connect lessons to real-world engineering and physics applications.
